Overview
The Picher mining field was an extensive area that extended into the entire Tri-state area; however, the vast, majority of mining activity centered in and around Picher. The museum contains a replica of the above-ground building portion of a mine, which is found at the stair landing. Downstairs in the southeast corner of the Lower Level Gallery is a large collection of mining photos and mineral specimens.
