Sunbeam Farms
  • A Black Angus Dynasty

Overview
Sam Fullerton I came to Ottawa County in the late 1890s and began raising Black Aberdeen Angus cattle. By the 1920s he ranched over 2,000 acres of land in the county and produced one of the world's finest lines of Black Aberdeen Angus cattle. Three generations of Sam Fullertons cultivated the herd and carried on the Sunbeam Farms tradition.

The Sunbeam Farms annual auction sales were grand events that attracted ranchers nationwide and internationally. The sales lasted two days, but the event often spanned four or five days. Twice Sunbeam International Grand Champion bulls set world records for individual sale prices.
Special Thanks
Sam Fullerton IV, who has loaned the memorabilia and photos for this significant exhibit.
